Accomplishments

DFCI Aquitaine, a major player in forest protection, carries out a wide variety of actions that include:

• coherent land development: via the execution of work and the maintenance of infrastructures it creates. DFCI Aquitaine protects the forest from fire risks and preserves existing ecosystems.
• sustained communication to raise awareness among forest users: production of brochures, flyers and informational and awareness-raising actions.
  Because the recognized causes of forest fires are mainly of human origin, because fires follow people, and because people are no longer in touch with the environment they enjoy exploring, effective communication aimed at the general public is crucial.
